Tri-rated cable is a fire retardant cable used in electrical cabinets, switch control, relay and instrumentation panels of power switchgear. A flexible (Class 5) high temperature, flame-retardant single core cable with a single layer of insulation of heat resistant PVC. Also known as BS6231 control panel wire or switchgear cable. Manufactured to UL, CSA: 0.6/1kV, BS 6231: 0.6/1kV, and BS EN 50525-2-31: 300/500V, 450/750V standards.
