Enclosures play a crucial role in a project so making sure that the enclosure is suitable for the task is important. 

IP and IK ratings

IP or ingress protection rating is the measure of an enclosure's ability to keep out water and dust. IK rating is the impact resistance of an enclosure.

IP and IK ratings are defined in international standard EN60529.
